A sketch comedy group in Rhode Island wanted to pay homage to a local hardware store, so they wrote a full-length comedy musical about it.

The Comedy Connection
The Comedy Connection is a great comedy club just outside of downtown Providence. It hosts national touring acts that come through town, but it’s also the club where some of the best Rhode Island comedians cut their teeth (e.g. Ray Harrington below). Oh and the building is an old bank, which is cool. It means The Comedy Connection has way better vibes than the kind of comedy clubs that are in suburban strip malls.

Ray Harrington
Ray Harrington’s a stand-up based in Rhode Island. He’s done a bunch of cool stuff. He’s been on Conan. He’s got two comedy albums available on Spotify. But my favorite thing he’s done is make a documentary about how to be a man. At one point in the film, he boxes a five time world champion named Vinny Pazienza. It’s one of the funniest scenes I’ve ever seen in a documentary.
